Finally, It has been decided that the Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry will have election between 3rd March – 30th April 2012.
An electoral board was formed to oversee the elections. County election will be run between 17th March to 26th March.
The operations at Kenya Chambers of Commerce had been watered down and less effective due to personal interests. The new election is seen as the new dawn for the Kenya Chambers of Commerce to fully operate and serve small businesses in Kenya.
All businesses are encouraged to register their businesses at either county level or national level to have a say in the election.
Former Chairman, Kiprono Kittony has vowed that he will contest in the election for Chairmanship seat after he was previously ousted through a court order by people he claims to be serving self interests.
