As more development is heading to the counties, General Motors EA opened a dealership in the Western region to cater for customers across the Nakuru and Kisumu region, in an investment valued at approximately Kshs. 150 Million.
The dealership Africa Commercial Motor Group Ltd (ACMG), will serve as the foundation of a more developed dealer network strategy to be undertaken by the firm to cater to all counties in the Western region. The dealership opening will form part of a plan to target 14 counties to respond in the uptake of vehicles for business and personal needs.
It will also offer apprentice training for university students to provide much needed skills development to secure a place in the auto industry.
The investment comes against the backdrop of the ongoing Isuzu Caravan initiative engaging customers and county governments through a tour of all counties, aimed at growing customer base.
Nakuru County Government welcomed the venture and called for businesses to increase investment at the county level.
