Kenya ICT Board Calls For 2nd Round of Pasha Proposal

After a successful first round of pasha proposal submission, Kenya ICT Board through a financial institution was able to vet the entrepreneurs pasha proposal and 37 emerged successfully.Kenya ICT Board CEO, Paul Kukubo is encouraging more entrepreneurs to apply for the Digital Village Revolving Fund. Both trained and new entrants are eligible for this round.

The first round saw over 1000 entrepreneurs trained countrywide.

According to Kenya ICT Board, they will be ready to support at least 80 entrepreneurs in the second round.

How Do I Qualify For Second Round

You must be a Kenyan citizen, you’ll need to obtain at least a minimum of form four qualification and last but not least you’ll need to be above 18 years of age (Obtain ID)

How Do I Apply For 2nd Round

According to Kenya ICT Board, you will need to follow the following steps;

Step-1: Log onto the Kenya ICT Board website

Step-2: Click on “PASHA”; – takes you to the Pasha online application form

Step-3: Register

Step-4: Complete Pasha online application form

Step-5: Click “submit” to complete the application process

Step-6: Wait to get feedback. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted via the email address provided on their application form.

Step-7: Shortlisted candidates will undergo a face to face interview at the Family Bank branch closest to their proposed business location

Step-8: The successful applicants will be announced.

What are the Ineligible Constituency

Kenya ICT Board has also listed some of the ineligible constituencies in which applicants from below list won’t qualify. The reason is that the 37 successful applicant in round one will set up their pasha centres in the below constituencies. Here are the constituencies;

Baringo Central, Bomet, Butula, Rangwe, Vihiga, Funyula, Manyatta, Ijara, Kajiado North, Alego, Matungu, Belgut, Gatundu North, Juja, Wundanyi, Kabete, Limuru, Kaloleni, Malindi, Ol Kalou, Kisumu Town West, Nyando, Nyakach, Laikipia West, Kinangop, Mbooni, Makueni, Central Imenti, Igembe South, Emgwen, Nithi, North Imenti, Migori, Likoni, Makadara, Kigumo, Maragua

Announcement of Successful Applicants

Kenya ICT Board will announce and publish the successful applicants towards the last week of January 2012. The venue will be confirmed at a later date.

Deadline for Application

You are encouraged to make your application as early as possible to avoid doing last minute rush on your proposal. The online application deadline will be on 3rd December 2011.
