In a previous article, Google had launched the Getting Kenya Businesses Online (GKBO), a joint initiative with Safaricom, Equity Bank and other partners.
So far the initiative seems to be bearing fruits as over 11,000 small and medium size enterprises have benefited from the initiative.
GKBO initiative has enabled a platform where anyone can create their own website and develop an online presence, for free.
Barclays Bank has recently joined the group of partners in this campaign.
