Equity Bank Plans To Create SME Branches

Equity Bank has been building capacity and ability to work with Small Medium Enterprises (SME). During the launch of Ksh. 8.3 Billion SME Loan, Dr. James Mwangi, CEO Equity Bank mentioned that entrepreneurs appetite for SME loans has increased.

Currently, 41% of Equity Bank loans is taken by entrepreneurs. This has been a huge factor which has pushed Equity Bank to restructure its branches to accommodate the entrepreneurs.

Some of the branches which will soon be fully equipped to handle entrepreneurs are Harambee Avenue, Moi Avenue, Industrial Area, Mama Ngina Street, Kimathi Street, Karen, Westlands, Kisumu, Eldoret, Mombasa, Nakuru.

Most entrepreneurs have been looking for properly priced loans that has appropriate repayment period.
